SINTRA AT IT'S BEST
Travel deals
"Visit Sintra, a stunning combination of mountainscapes and misty forests with a variety of flora that changes with the seasons, it certainly lives up to its reputation as Portugal most romantic place."
That was back in 2014 and things have changed over the last few years.
Hi ! My name is Paulo and i'm doing tours in Sintra for 10 years now and here's a hint for you : Sintra is a small village, the sites are located on top of mountains, on slopes and a small road to get there, only one problem and it's an hour late , the place does not have the conditions to receive a large flow of visitors and in recent years has become a mass tourism destination with millions of visitors annually.
Is Sintra still worth visiting ?
- Absolutely and I can help you with that.

Travel Hacks
You need
Use light and comfortable clothing, but with Sintra's microclimate bring a raincoat just in case ( i can provide also, not that one but you get the picture).
Use sneakers or the lightest and most comfortable shoes you may have, some steep walking is involved.
Always carry a few bottles of water and some snacks with you, no need to interrupt a visit in the park for being hungry or thirsty and some of the Parks are huge (and the snack bars in the parks are closed since the Pandemic period).
